Free UAW Classes

The following is a list of free classes offered by the UAW Worker-Family Education Program. All classes are free of charge. Please note that Adult Education classes have open enrollment throughout the school year. Please use the online form on this page to register for classes. CLASSES MEET IN MANHATTAN AT 83 MAIDEN LANE, 12th FLOOR UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED. ALL CLASSES ARE FREE OF CHARGE, AND UNION MEMBERS WILL GET PRIORITY PLACEMENT.


INTRO TO ACCESS

Tuesdays (5-week course) - 5:30-8:30pm

May 1st - May 29th, 2018

Learn how to create a database, crate data tables and forms for data entry, learn how to get the information you want from your data using Queries, learn how to organize your data in reports.

 

BASIC COMPUTER

Wednesdays (5-week course) - 5:30-8:30pm

May 2nd- May 30th, 2018

Learn how to create, send and receive e-mails and attachments, keep and store your photos and important papers safely organized, helpful applications (apps) to keep you connected, helpful navigating tips with your smartphones, handling voice mail messages, communicating with voice activated assistants like Siri, Alexa, Cortana and Google Now And learn much more.

 

INTERMEDIATE EXCEL

Saturdays (4-week course) 10:00am-1:00pm

May5th – June 2nd, 2018

The Course will cover the following topics: Macros, Pivot tables, Integration with Word, Integration with Access, Excel Form Controls, And More.
